The American package delivery and supply chain company UPS, and the e-commerce company Inxeption, have recently partnered to launch a blockchain-powered platform that would improve the merchant supply chain. The information was released by the firms on March 21st in a press release.
Supply Chain Improvement with UPS and Inxeption
As reported by these companies, the blockchain platform is going to help companies market and distribute their products. Consumers will be receiving these goods through multiple channels. The new platform is called Inxeption Zippy.
With this platform, the firms will allow customers to monitor the entire supply chain. They will be able to basically track the goods they deliver. It is worth mentioning that both buyers and sellers will have access to private and important data about the products delivered.
Merchants using the platform will have a seamless supply chain management experience throughout the whole supply chain. Moreover, those using the platform will be receiving supply chain metrics provided by UPS. There will be many other capabilities such as building a site, upload product information, schedule orders and shipments, and more.
Kevin Warren, Chief Marketing Officer for UPS, commented:

Warren explained that they want to offer a high level of supply-chain management capabilities for B2B businesses.
The press release informs that B2B e-commerce industry is also growing around the world. In just a few years, by 2023, it is expected to reach $1.3 trillion. Nonetheless, most of the merchants have been slow adopting online commerce solution and most of the sales are performed by direct sales.
With the new platform, this could entirely change. Companies that do not adapt will be left behind. B2B e-commerce will be offering merchants an easier and faster way to sell and distribute specific products.
