In an attempt to contribute to the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, Wuabit created a digital wallet that would allow its users to access, transfer, and receive digital assets from their preferred messaging application.
Wuabit, a digital wallet for cryptocurrencies, chose WhatsApp as its first launch platform due to the platform’s immense network popularity.
According to The Express, Wuabit intends to launch a public beta test service next month. The objective of the beta launch is to first allow WhatsApp users to integrate BTC payments using chat commands in the application.
A spokesperson for Wuabit stated,
“Crypto payments via WhatsApp can introduce greater numbers of new users, who only know how to chat, to this complicated space. Usability is key in user adoption and a great enabler.”
Furthermore, according to a post on Medium, the developers intend to add more services like price checking and trading to the software in the future.
The company also presented plans to integrate other popular crypto-projects such as Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ether into their service soon. With this development, Wuabit aims to emerge as the winner in the race to integrate cryptocurrencies with social media platforms.
